Now for some fun stuff. Summer reads. I'm going to go old school first on my suggestions for summer reads and share the author and two of her books which made me really fall in love with the romance genre.
Back in the mid-90's, a friend of mine lent me a copy of Jude Deveraux's A Knight in Shining Armor. I loved that story and have read it a few times. The blurb for it is: Abandoned by her lover, thoroughly modern Dougless Montgomery finds herself alone and brokenhearted in an old English church. Remembrance is the other book of Jude's that I love. This story really resonnated with me. After all it follows the life of an author and what happens to her. ;) The blurb for Remembrance is: Bestselling romance writer Hayden Lane just lost the “perfect” man. But what real man could compete with the dark intriguing character she writes about? When a psychic tells her that Hayden has had a past life, she yearns to know more. So back to the present. My reading tastes have varied over the years since I've read those stories as has my writing. If you've been following my blog, you've noticed that I have a

However, until she completed her responsibilities to her and her master’s satisfaction, she had to soldier on and continue to hunt within the war torn ruins of Las Vegas for those who had to be dispatched.
* A true shame Godric’s next on my list. Killing him would be a horrible waste of a beautiful male specimen. Perhaps I should stop thinking of him in terms of a hunky man with a name. Might make doing the necessary deed easier in the long run.

To her dismay, she’d lost his trail, yet had picked up a different one. Another evil creature lurked in the area. Perhaps he’d know where the warlock she sought was and if he was Godric. She was so close to finding the Winchapel vampire she could taste it. Victory was sweet and would be hers.

* Cold. So Cold.
* “Stop. Please. Stop,” she begged on a jagged plea. The visibility of her breath confirmed she wasn’t imagining the drop in temperature.
* Her panic stirred Damon. He stretched and then stilled. “Bristol? Baby?” There was strong alarm in his voice.
* “Ah … yes.” She sucked in a breath. “Oh … no, please stop.”
* He must have noticed the dial on the panty remote move to the high position at the same time that she whimpered the ‘stop please’ because he shot up in bed. His sleep-filled gaze was confused as he looked at Bristol.
* “Oh God. Oh God.” The orgasm ripped through her body, sending tremors through her limbs.
* Damon’s confused gaze turned to a wide-eyed stare and never once strayed from hers while the orgasm shook her body. When she’d finally gained enough breath to speak, she begged on the cusp of a yell, “Turn it off. Please.”
* Once her words had sunk in, Damon bolted off the bed, grabbed the remote and smashed it to the floor splintering the plastic into many pieces.
* Abruptly the vibrations halted.
